Logicom employees joined the Movember campaign once again this year, helping to raise funds and awareness for Men's Health, and surpassing their goal of $2000.
Movember, a combination of the words 'moustache' and 'November,' has men growing out their moustaches for 30 days throughout the month of November each year. By acting as walking billboards for the cause, these men – and women – help raise awareness and vital funds for prostate and testicular cancers. Movember aims to increase early cancer detection, diagnosis, and effective treatment, ultimately reducing the number of preventable deaths.
Logicom colleagues from across the company's regional offices took part in the cause, forming the Logicom Mo Bros and Sistas Team. Several kicked off the month with a clean shave and grew their mustache for 30 days, while others moved towards a 'Move' distance target, and all helped to raise funds and awareness for the cause. The team set a goal of $2000, and thanks to the kind donations of other colleagues, friends, and family, and a generous donation from the Logicom Management, the goal was surpassed, and the team raised $2,587.
